Music has a capital role and importance in the lives of people since the creation of mankind. Since antiquity music was part of all civilizations. In all cultures music as part of recreation, profession or medicine was soothing the soul and body of people in every corner of our planet.

The fact that music is a precious therapeutic tool for many disease has been confirmed by recent research. More and more studies reveal the benefits that music can offer not only to patients but as well to professionals in many highly stressing environments such as doctors, nurses, policemen and others. 

Cancer patients including those undergoing highly dangerous therapies such as bone marrow transplantations, report less nausea and pain, and a faster recovery.

In hospitals and other health care facilities for adults and for children around the world, therapy is been provided for many years now to decrease patients' perception of pain, anxiety and depression and boost their feelings of relaxation. It's also used in hospice to comfort terminally ill patients.  

It is also used successfully for fighting depression, post-operative pain, stress, complications after stress and cardiac diseases. It is used as well to reduce stress, anxiety and depression during pregnancy.

Music therapy can be as well of great help to highly stressed professionals. According to new research, nurses working in an accident and emergency department reported that their anxiety levels fell dramatically when they were given aromatherapy massages while listening to music.

Music will never stop providing us with pleasure and joy. For healthy people and for patients, for stressed professionals or under other circumstances, music will be there to give us in a unique way that magic support that nobody else can do.
